Business requests special agreement with town of Laurel for water, sewer

A business located just outside the corporate limits of municipality is seeking to enter into a special agreement that would give it access to town water and sewer without paying a rate that is twice that paid by residents.

Citizen of the Year

A banquet to honor 2019 Delmar Citizen of the Year Sandy Davis will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12. Tickets for the banquet are $25 and can be purchased by contacting Lisa Ellis at 410-430-7720. Tickets to the banquet are by advance purchase only as there will be no tickets available at the door.

Meet and Greet shopping

The Laurel American Legion Post 19 will hold a Meet and Greet shopping event on Friday, Nov. 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. featuring a variety of locally owned businesses, crafts and custom decor in the upstairs banquet hall.

There will also be a 50/50 and silent auction. Food for purchase includes homemade oyster fritters and soft shell crab sandwiches, vegetable soup and chili.

Free coffee, hot chocolate, lemonade and cookies. Admission is $3 per person. Call 302-875-9948, for more information.
