This year’s Federalsburg Heritage Day Celebration will salute the legacy of local dirt track racers, Norris “Speedy” Reed, Walt Breeding and Ken Covey.

The event will be held at the Federalsburg Museum on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The museum is located on Covey and Williams Alley behind the town hall.

Dirt track racing enthusiast Phil Davis will show his photo and DVD collection of past and present drivers, which include locals Haines Holt, Wayne Coulbourne, Jim Bishop, Ed Richards, and from Denton, Ed Henry.

There will also be a slide presentation highlighting Reed’s career and a round table discussion at 1 p.m.

Heritage Day is a free event with food and beverages available throughout the day.
