Otis “Bud” Holloway of Laurel went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at his home. He was born on April 27, 1947 in Seaford to Otis Lee and Grace Cordrey Holloway. After graduating, he proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. 

Otis loved to go bowling, write poetry, and attend Lifeway Church of God. Otis worked at C.C. Oliphant & Son and managed a large apartment complex in Bridgeville and Laurel, where he went on to become a chief of police in Bridgeville and Laurel, and also worked as a police officer in Milford. He is survived by his wife Pam; sons, Shawn Holloway and his wife Jennifer, and Robert Holloway; daughters, Tracy Nichols and her husband Tom, and Mary Mitchell; grandchildren, Allison Hopkins, Elizabeth Holloway, Tyler Holloway, Brett Holloway, Brody Nichols, Rylin Nichols, Harper Nichols, Gage Wintermoyer, Lorelia Mitchell; brothers, Gary “Hoot” Holloway and his wife Janet, Alan Holloway and his wife Petie; niece, Ashley Brooks Holloway and Matt; nephews, Chad Holloway and his wife Kristen, Kyle Holloway and his wife Heather; and great nieces and nephews, Caleb Holloway, Addison Holloway, Jake Holloway, Travis Holloway, and Paige Holloway. 

A visitation was held on Wednesday, March 15 at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel. Pastor Dwayne Bradley officiated. Interment followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Laurel.
