Donald Dewey Sisk of Laurel, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020, at Parkview Nursing Home in Wilmington. 

Born in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Dewey Doc Sisk and Pansey Helton Sisk. 

Dewey retired as a coal miner when he lived in West Virginia. Later, when he moved to Delaware, he owned and operated East Coast Sheet Metal in Willards, Md.

Dewey was a member of Abundant Life Church in Georgetown and the American Legion Post #19. He loved his family very much and enjoyed fishing, reading his Bible, and listening to Hank Williams. 

He is survived by his son, Quinley Whitt; daughter-in-law, Tammy Lemon-Sisk; brothers, Terry Sisk and Kenny Sisk; grandchildren, Hilary Sisk Wright, Shane Sisk and Tracy Whitt Passwaters; great-grandchildren, Jenna Espenlaub, Chelsea Espenlaub, Katie Espenlaub Davis, Maci Passwaters, Makenzie Sisk, Aubree Peterman, Rex Wright and Reid Wright; great-great-grandchildren, Kayslie Davis and Quinn Dalton; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Dewey was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Billings Sisk and his son, Timothy Sisk. 

A funeral service was held on Monday, March 2, at Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, Laurel. Pastor John Betts officiated. Interment was in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Laurel. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions be made in Mr. Sisk’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
