Wayne Alfred Hastings of Millsboro passed away on April 14, 2021 at his home. Born in Laurel, he was the son of the late William Albert Hastings and Barbara Wieland Kirby. Wayne proudly served his country in the United States Army. In his earlier years, Wayne was a talented mason, building many beautiful buildings. Later he worked and retired from NRG as an operator.
Wayne was known to be very adventurous. He loved to race his motorcycles, sky dive, and travel to exciting destinations to ride bikes, such as Chile and Venezuela just to name a few. Wayne is survived by his sister, Bonnie Wootten and her husband David Wootten, Sr. of Millsboro; nephew, David Wootten II and his wife Melanie of Pittsville, Maryland; nieces, Lisa Treppard of Tennessee, Lezley Scott of Virginia, and Caleigh Wootten of Ocean Pines, Maryland; great nieces and nephews, Max Rich, Maverick Rich, Charlotte Wootten, and Gracie Wootten. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Ilene Malone.
