The Mahogany Children’s Book Festival will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Bridgeville Public Library. You’re invited to join the library for Black Children’s Book Week (Sunday, Feb. 22 – Saturday, Feb. 28) with books, family, culture, and fun. There will be over 10 children’s book authors, and books, merchandise, and food for purchase.

There will be a special storyteller artist performance, “Folktale Fun,” at 1pm by TAHIRA from TAHIRA Productions. TAHIRA is a storyteller, musician, vocalist, and songwriter. She is the 2023 Delaware Division of the Arts Master Fellow in Oral Literature.

This event is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts (https://www.arts.delaware.gov), a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts (https://www.arts.gov). The Division promotes Delaware arts events on www.DelawareScene.com; and through a partnership with the Bridgeville Public Library and the Cornerstone Community Center.
