Stanley W. Towers of Seaford passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Oct. 12. He was born on March 2, 1934 in Easton, son of the late Emory and Sadie R. (Rhodes) Towers.  

Mr. Towers retired after 37 years as a truck driver for Exxon in Md. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Nanticoke Post 6 American Legion, the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1728, and was a Lifetime Member of the Federalsburg VFW. Mr. Towers enjoyed a good ride on his motorcycle and fishing from his boat. He was a hard-working and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Towers was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy (Rhodes) Towers in 2019; his brother, Alfred Lee Towers; and his sister, Elizabeth Osborn. He is survived by his children: Angela Dattilo (Bryan) of Laurel, Robert Towers (Lana) of Millsboro, and Stanley Towers (Dawn) of Seaford; his grandchildren: Sadie Burton (Jantzen) of Laurel, Jacob Dattilo (Holly) of Gumboro, Shelby Towers of Millsboro, Amber Towers of Millsboro, and Andrea Towers of Abington, Md.; and his great-grandchildren: Logan Burton of Laurel, Aubrey Burton of Laurel, and Colt Dattilo of Gumboro.

A Chapel Committal Service with Military Honors was held on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 10 a.m. at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Yates Funeral Home, a Parsell Family Funeral Home, Seaford.
