Roland “Ken” Willey, Sr. of Seaford  passed peacefully at TidalHealth Mears Campus on March 25, 2021. Ken was born on April 28, 1938 to Roland and Roberta (Dean) Willey.

Ken entered the Navy at the age of 17, until he was honorably discharged in October of 1956. He worked as a barber for years, before gaining employment with the United Parcel Service in 1975. He retired in 1995.

He was a longstanding serving member of the JayCees organization. Ken was an avid golfer, and always tried not to miss an opportunity to tee off and spend time with his friends on the courses. In addition to his passion for the sport, he aspired to share his love for golf, by teaching junior youth clinics. Ken also enjoyed music and like to dance.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, as well as two half-sisters and a half-brother.

Ken is survived by his son, Kenny Willey and wife, Kelly of Laurel. Also, surviving is his long-time companion, Susan Taylor, formerly of Hurlock, but now residing in Seaford. There are two grandchildren: Ashley Morris and husband, Colin, and Kelsey Willey, both of Laurel. In addition, there are two great-grandchildren, Lilly and Grayson. He also held the family of Susan very near to his heart.

Visitation was held Tuesday, March 30, followed by a funeral service at Cranston Funeral Home in Seaford. Interment took place at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to benefit the junior youth clinics or summer camps held at Hooper’s Landing Golf Course, 1019 W. Locust St., Seaford, DE 19973.
