In keeping with the spirit of Riverfest, the Downtown Seaford Association, Inc. is sponsoring a window decorating contest. It is meant for all businesses in downtown Seaford (from Front Street to Pennsylvania Ave.) The decorations must be in keeping with the 2022 theme “Soarin’ Over the Nanticoke.” Decorations can be interior or exterior as long as they are visible from the outside.
Judges will select one winning display based on creativity, use of theme and the overall appearance. Judges will be the mayor and City Council members or their appointees. Entry forms can be obtained from and must be submitted to Fantasy Beauty Salon, 224 High Street (302-629-6762) by July 5. Judging will take place on Thursday, July 7 before noon, weather permitting. The winner will be announced and will be presented a trophy at the Riverfest opening ceremony on Saturday, July 9 at 9 a.m., on the main stage. All participants will be recognized at the trophy presentation.
