On Sept. 17, 2022, we lost a beloved husband, father, and proud veteran, as Bill joined Jesus in Heaven. A native Delawarean, he was born in Wilmington and lived in the surrounding areas, until he moved to Seaford in 2017. Bill graduated from H. Fletcher Brown Technical High School in 1965 and joined the U.S. Marine Corp shortly after.

He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. Bill was a master craftsman and technician who could build or fix anything.  He was employed by many local manufacturers and worked at the General Motors-Boxwood Road Plant until it closed in 2009.  He was a generous friend, loved his family, appreciated nature, and had a great sense of humor.

We are so proud to have known him and grateful to have loved him. May he rest in peace. Semper Fi.

Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but especially by his wife of 33 years, Patricia and her son Ian; his children: Kimberly Rachiele (Tony), Bill Lewis (Stefanie Dych), and Matthew Lewis (Carol); his grandchildren: Sara, Billy, Michael, Emily, Anthony and Mason; his great-grandchildren: Alexandra, Aiden, and Billy; his sisters: Betty and Alberta; and many nieces and nephews.

He was welcomed by those who predeceased him, including his parents, his brothers, his sister Marie, and his granddaughter, Logan.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2 at Atlanta Road Alliance Church in Seaford.

Bill’s final care was entrusted to Watson-Yates Funeral Home & Crematorium, a Parsell Family Funeral Home in Seaford.
