Vicki Lou Antonio Gerardi, better known as “sweetie pie” and “Mom Mom sweetie pie,” gained her angel wings on Oct. 13, 2022. Born on June 23, 1945, she grew up in Federalsburg where she met the love of her life, Frank L. Gerardi, Sr. when she was 13 years old. She married Frank after graduation and spent the early years of her marriage raising a family and working in the family business. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her home was her haven and she spent her time decorating, cooking grand Italian meals and doting on her beloved dog Bella. Every detail in her home reflected her love of family, art and nature and was filled with pictures of her beautiful memories. There is not a wall, nook or shelf that is not filled with images of her family. She meticulously remembered every child, grandchild and great-grandchild on their birthday, often shopping for that unique gift that was special for them. She loved nothing more than doing for others and went out of her way to remember people.

She was preceded in death by her son Frank L. Gerardi, Jr., father to her grandchildren, Cara Gerardi and Cole Gerardi. She is survived by her devoted husband Frank L. Gerardi, Sr.; her eldest daughter Christine Gerardi and grandchildren, Bryan Nabb Jr., Jenalee Nabb Castells, Nicholas R. Calloway and Jacob Calloway; her daughter Gina L. Banning, husband Darrel Banning and grandchildren Dylan Banning, Tyler Banning, Trey Banning and Kaylee Banning; and seven great-grandchildren with an additional two on the way. She was adored by her family and friends who will always remember her kindness and love for others.

At Vicki’s request, the family is holding a private service at Framptom Funeral home. Her final resting place will be alongside her son Frank Gerardi, Jr. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg, where she will join him in peace. In lieu of flowers, please honor her memory through a donation to the SPCA of Georgetown.
