Toni was a 1979 graduate of Crisfield High School, and after graduation she attended Wor-Wic Community College. For several years, she worked as a waitress, later moving up to a managerial position at the former Flagship Restaurant in Seaford. Her new career led her into the banking industry, working with Sussex Trust in Seaford as a teller, and then transferring to their branch in Laurel when they became Wilmington Trust. As her career in banking continued, she joined the Bank of Delmarva where she became the head teller for many years. She later became the manager of their fraud department until her retirement in 2024.

Toni enjoyed her home, spending time with her husband, all of her beloved fur babies, cooking; especially her family Thanksgiving dinners that were LEGENDARY, gardening, researching and preparing herbal remedies, and connecting with friends. She delighted in celebrating the holidays, particularly Christmas and Halloween, with beautiful decorations, delicious treats, and costumes that were over the top.

Toni’s final act of kindness was to give the “gift of life” and healing through organ and tissue donation. A memorial celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 18 at 3 p.m., with a visitation to greet family and friends from 2-3 p.m. at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West Street, Laurel, Delaware 19956.
