Thomas O. Hammond of Ocean Pines, originally from Bridgeville, passed away peacefully at The Stansell House in Ocean Pines on Feb. 8, 2023. Born on Sept. 5, 1937, he was the son of the late Alice Hammond.
Thomas retired from ACME where he worked primarily as a meat cutter for 58 years. His hobbies included watching football, where he was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, watching NASCAR, and watching horse racing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Hammond; sister, Patricia Hammond Massey; and a brother, Ronald Hammond.
Thomas is survived by his son, David Hammond (Renee) of Seaford; granddaughter, Stephanie, and his great-grandson, Spencer, as well as many nieces and nephews.
At Thomas’s request, a Celebration of Life will take place at Pizza King in Seaford on April 2 at 2:30 p.m.
