Ruth A. Cahall of Laurel passed away at her son’s home in Delmar surrounded by her loving family. Born in Sharptown, she was the daughter of the late Elwood Jones and Hazel Hastings Carmean. Ruth was a loving homemaker and enjoyed working in her yard, riding horses, and putting puzzles together. She was a lifetime member of the Sharptown American Legion Post #218, where she served in the Ladies Auxilary. 

Ruth is survived by her son, James “Jim” Cahall and his wife Martha of Delmar; daughter, Tammy Walbert and her husband Kurt of Parsonsburg; daughter in law, Debbie Cahall; grandchildren, Joey Cahall, Michelle Cahall, Buddy Gribble, Amanda Durham, Jimmy Cahall, Julie Maguda, Christina Cahall, Niki Cahall, Christopher Lilliston, Justin Kelly and Shannon Kelly; 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive her.

 A visitation will be held from noon-2 p.m. on Sunday, March 26 at the Sharptown American Legion, 204 State Street, Sharptown, Maryland 21861. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2 p.m. Interment will be private. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Cahall; son, Joseph Cahall; brothers Jimmy Jones and Harry Jones.
