Ronald W. Hastings of Laurel went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 1, 2023, under the care of Coastal Hospice in Salisbury. He was born on Jan. 29, 1947 to the late Helen H. Hearn of Cannon.
Ronald was a 1965 graduate of Seaford High School and Sussex VoTech School, where he studied masonry. Ronald served in the National Guard for four years with an honorable discharge. He was a bricklayer by trade, an enthusiastic baseball fan, avid gardener and a pool shark.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Francis Hearn of Seaford. He is survived by his daughters Kathy (Fred) and Beth; his grandchildren Lauren (Scott), Logan and Charlie; great-grandchildren Joleigh and Scottlyn; and his dog Henry.
Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel.
