Robert “Bob” William Kennedy passed from this life to his heavenly home on Aug. 10, 2022 with his family by his side.
Bob was born on Jan. 6, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pa. He was the first of four children born to the late Robert Charles Kennedy and Jennie Anna (Rahmer) Kennedy.
Bob graduated from Georgetown High School in 1960. He served four years in the U.S. Navy. He married Wanda Smith in 1966 and had one daughter. Bob retired from DuPont. He loved working as a carpenter and built two of his family’s homes and helped others with many projects. He played basketball in high school and softball with his church.
Bob was a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ. He went to Haiti on a mission trip and served in many roles in church over the years. He is survived by his wife Wanda (Smith) Kennedy; daughter, Tina (Kennedy) Tullier and son-in-law, Nathan Tullier; grandchildren Brittany Tullier and Josh Tullier; great-granddaughter Niomi Tullier; brother Walter Kennedy; sisters Sally Jefferson and Blanche Nickel, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Aug. 19 at 10:30 a.m. at Church of God, 425 E. Stein Hwy. in Seaford. He will be laid to rest at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro. Info and condolences can be sent by visiting www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
