Milton Edward Foskey of Seaford passed away at home on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022. He was born on Oct. 28, 1931 in Seaford, son of the late Harry F. and Annie E. (Mitchell) Foskey.
Mr. Foskey was a proud veteran, having honorably served in the U.S. Navy. During his service to the country, he was a machinist on the Destroyer USS Carpenter. Following his military service, Mr. Foskey worked for DuPont as a master mechanic, retiring after 41 dedicated years. He spent his entire life in Seaford, the place he loved the most. In 1968, Mr. Foskey married the love of his life, Carolyn Mills, and together they enjoyed 54 years of marriage.
He was a man of faith, attending the Church of God in Seaford and Bridgeville, as well as Epworth Fellowship Church in Laurel. Mr. Foskey enjoyed traveling locally, was an avid NASCAR fan and he could often be found working on cars. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Foskey was preceded in death by his son, Michael Foskey, Sr.; and four brothers and one sister. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Foskey; his son, John Foskey; his daughter, Amy Vasey; his grandchildren: Michael Foskey, Jr., Rhonda Bailey, John Foskey, Jr., James Foskey, Theresa Hindsley, Jackson Vasey, and Katelyn Lanman; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Final care for Mr. Foskey has been entrusted to Watson-Yates Funeral Home, a Parsell Family Funeral Home in Seaford.
