Mary Ann C. Gaskin, Au. D, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Mary Ann was born April 11, 1958 in Philadelphia, Pa., to William and Mary Connolly. Mary Ann was the oldest of five siblings and grew up in Philadelphia where she made memories with her lifelong best friend Deanna Holmes Cunningham. She moved to Seaford with her BS in speech pathology and audiology from Pennsylvania State University in 1980. She practiced as a DE Speech Language Pathologist until 1985 in the Seaford School District. She received her Master of Audiology from Temple University in 1987 and moved on to serve the hearing impaired in the Lewes-Rehoboth Beach communities. In 2008, she received her Doctorate in Audiology and immediately opened Bayside Audiology and Hearing Aids, her privately owned practice in Lewes.

In 1980, Mary Ann met the love of her life, Craig. The two married in 1987 and had been together for forty-two amazing years. Together they’ve enjoyed traveling, the beach, attending Penn State football games and raising their two handsome young boys Timothy and Patrick Gaskin.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and cousin. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Connolly and brother, William (Bill) Connolly. She is survived by her husband, Craig Gaskin and her sons, Timothy and Patrick. She is also survived by her siblings, James Connolly, John Connolly, and Eileen Connolly, as well as her nieces and nephews Haley Fascelli (husband Tony), Eryn Evans (husband Zach), William (Bill) Connolly, Nicole Connolly, John Connolly, Shane Connolly, and Jennifer Connolly. Her warm heart, desire to help others, and love of family will forever be remembered.

A funeral mass was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Seaford on Thursday, June 16.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to one of her favorite foundations, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
