Margaret Lucille Himes of Laurel found peace in the arms of our Lord on Monday, April 4, 2022. Ms. Himes had recently relocated from Vienna, West Virginia where she had lived for most of her life. She was born on Oct. 11, 1928 to Margaret C. Himes (McQueen) and Lawrence Austin Himes in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Prior to moving to Delaware she was an active member of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church and enjoyed volunteering with her many friends from that church. She loved being in the sun and tending to her flowers and small garden as well as spending time with her close friends of many years. She also enjoyed being at the beach whenever she could.
Ms. Himes was preceded in death by her daughter Margaret Joan (Peggy); her brothers Kenneth Himes, David Himes Sr., Donald Himes; sisters Mildred Ricks, and Carolyn Plount; and her best friend Martha Forester.
She is survived by her sister Joan McDaniel, granddaughter Tina Ullman (Jamie), great-granddaughters Nicole, Alexandria, Ashlyn, and Bailey Ullman and her great-great-granddaughter Oaklynn Ullman along with many nieces, nephews and her longtime friends Mike, John, and Susan.
