Lyle Bruce White of Seaford died on Oct. 4 at his home after a year long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Alice C. White; stepson, Jason M. Cavallaro (Melissa) and grandson Luca X. Cavallaro. He is also survived by his sister, Monica W. Dwyer (William); nephew, Beau Dwyer (Jillian); and two nieces, Karlee and Kellee Dwyer. He was the son of the late Charles C. and Jane Wheatley White.

Lyle was born and raised in Seaford and was a 1970 graduate of Seaford High School. He attended Lenoir-Rhyne University and DTCC majoring in Civil Engineering. Lyle was a chief engineer for Marriott in Newark at the time of his retirement.

Lyle was a gentle, fun-loving man who enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, boating, spending time at Fenwick Island and most recently playing golf.

The funeral service is Saturday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. with a visitation from noon to 1 p.m. at Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N Shipley Street in Seaford. Interment will immediately follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg.
