It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Linda Susan Timmons of Bethel on Monday, Nov. 7, 2022.

Born on August 22, 1961 to Shirley Kinser Pratt and the late George Pratt, Linda grew up in Millsboro and spent many years working alongside her parents and siblings at their family-owned restaurant, Holiday Chicken. In 1987 she then began her career at the Georgetown Division of Motor Vehicles before retiring in 2019 after 32 years.

Linda enjoyed the simple things in life by spending time with her loved ones, taking long country rides, playing cards with friends and enjoying the peace and tranquility that the outdoors provided, most often from the comfort of her own porch. She was a terrific cook and enjoyed making meals for her family, especially Sunday breakfast. She loved tending to her flowers and was always ready to take on a home improvement project. Later in life she honed her LEGO skills by spending countless hours with her grandson building LEGO towers. Equally skilled at playing make-believe, hide and seek or just about anything her grandchildren desired, she was always ready and eager to spoil them at every turn. Linda will be remembered for her kind soul and unwavering love and support for her family and friends.

Linda is survived by her mother, Shirley Pratt of Millsboro; loving partner and soulmate, Todd Lowe of Bethel; daughter Kimberly (Brent) Anderson of Downingtown, Pa.; son Gary Eli Timmons of Georgetown; and two grandchildren, Mitchell and Camryn Anderson. Linda leaves behind two sisters, Debbie (John) Swithenbank and Vera Williams (partner Robert Barger); a brother, Terry Pratt; many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews that adored her.

A visitation for family and friends was held on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar followed by a memorial service.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Beebe South Coastal Cancer Center at 32750 Roxana Rd., Frankford, DE 19945.

Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.shortfh.com.
