Lane W. Joseph of Laurel passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Laurel, he was the son of the late Orlando W. Joseph and Evalyn W. Joseph (nee Whaley). He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Joseph (nee Horsman). 

Lane is survived by his son, Kenneth Joseph, and his wife Kimberley; granddaughters, Mikayla Nicole Joseph and Kara Lane Joseph. He proudly served his country in the United States National Guard. Lane retired from the E.I. DuPont Company as a machine operator. He enjoyed building and riding motorcycles and jet boats, listening to music, and was a lifelong member of the NRA. His favorite day of the week was “Whiskey Thursday.” This was when he looked forward to being with his friends and enjoying a glass of whiskey. 

A celebration of life will be held on Jan. 7, 2023 at 2 p.m. at the American Legion Post #19 in Laurel. Arrangements are in the care of the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel.
