Edwards. She is survived by her husband and best friend of 37 years Barry Burnell; daughter Jennifer and her husband, Rob McCauley of Salem, NY; daughter Angela and her husband Jim O’Connell of Fremont, NH; son Matthew Burnell of Malta, NY; and daughter Ashley Burnell of Scottsdale, AZ. Also surviving are grandchildren Brandon Burdo and wife Miranda; Lea Vincent; James O’Connell; Kylie O’Connell; and great-granddaughter Reilly Burdo; her sister Cindy May; and many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Judy was predeceased by her daughter Cherie Ann Tallada; her father, William Edwards; her sister Shirley Sheruda; and her brother William “Billy” Edwards.

Judy graduated from Falls Overfield High School in Mill City, Pa. Always a student of the Lord, she received her Doctorate at Kansas City Theological Seminary in 2014. Judy loved studying and teaching the Bible and held positions at the Church of the Nazarene in Colorado Springs, CO; Kansas City, KS; Bel Air, MD; and as the Lead Pastor in Seaford since 2017. Her ministry also had a global influence; she went on mission trips to Honduras, Mozambique, and served as the Eurasia Regional Administrator in Busingen, Germany. Her most personally meaningful trip was an archeological dig in Israel.

Judy was most proud of her children and grandchildren. She loved to take walks on the beach and collect seashells, especially at Fenwick Island. Judy will be remembered for her acts of kindness to family, as well as strangers and her love of babies. She was known for her cream of crab chowder and chocolate Easter eggs.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cranston Funeral Home in Seaford, DE.  Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
