Joyce W. Baker of Laurel, passed away on March 12, 2022 at TidalHealth PRMC in Salisbury, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born in Laurel on Jan. 22, 1942 to the late James and Madeline Wingate. 

She retired from the Laurel School District in 1997 to take care of her late husband Raymond Nack, Sr. and was a member of Sailors Bethel Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years William Baker; sister-in-law, Gloria Hitchens and husband Wayne, Sherra Wilkerson and husband Wayne, and Debbie McCabe; brother-in-law, Guy Baker, Jr., and step son, Troy Roger and his wife Stacey. She is also survived by her three loving sons, Ray Nack and his wife Lisa, Bill Nack and his wife Deanna, and Clint Nack and his wife Debbie; her loving grandchildren, Melissa, Emily, Adam, Rachel, and Ricky; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her loving sister Linda Pugh and her husband Phil. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband Raymond Nack, Sr. 

Joyce loved singing in the church choir and playing in the bell choir. She loved taking trips to Lancaster, Pa., sports, and spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were her life. 

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 18 from 11 a.m.-noon at Sailors Bethel United Methodist Church in Bethel. A celebration of life will be held at noon at the church. Reverend Fred Duncan will officiate. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Sailors Bethel Church. Arrangements are in the care of the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel.
