Jerry J. Davis of Laurel passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford.

He was born on July 6, 1953 in Salisbury, a son of the late Robert and Geneva Davis.

Jerry lived a life of adventure, every Sunday he and Sharon would go for a ride on his motorcycle or take a boat ride. With his son William, he enjoyed going fishing and to baseball games. He was an avid Yankees fan. Barrel racing was a favorite pastime with his son Keith. Jerry owned and operated Jerry’s Sign Crafters in Laurel for many years. He was always looking for something he could buy and then sell, having a passion for motorcycles, race cars and aeronautics.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon M. Davis; sons, William J. Davis (Alexis) and Keith A. Davis (Sherry); a daughter, Frances Davis; step-sons, Chuck Grim (Julia) and Brian Arnold (Kaitlyn); grandchildren, Stormi, Olivia, Harley and Shane; a great-grandson; a sister, Patricia Gauntt (Raymond and Roni); sisters-in-law, Anna Davis and Tammy Davis; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Sheila Layfield, Gary Davis and Bob Davis, Jr.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at his childhood home. The timing will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
