Jeffrey Gordy of Laurel passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Seaford, he was the son of the late Charles Gordy and Theodosia Rogers Gordy. Jeff was a graduate of Laurel High School in the class of 1975. He retired from UTZ as a warehouse manager, and enjoyed working his produce stand on Rt. 9 in Laurel.
Jeff was very dedicated to the local youth and was very involved in the Laurel Youth Sports, Laurel Pop Warner, Laurel Little League and was a middle school sports coach. He adored his grandchildren, loved pugs, and making salsa.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Marie Gordy of Laurel; children, Brock and Jami Gordy, Josh and Ann-Marie Gordy, Joseph and Kaleigh Zarrello, Anthony and Meghan Zarrello, Ashley Zarrello and Rick Passwaters, Courtney Gordy and Trez Kane; brothers, Benny and Jayne Gordy, and Steve and Melissa Gordy; grandchildren, Zoe Gordy, Brayden Zarrello, Jaxon Gordy, Carson Gordy, Devin Gordy, Adalynn Zarrello, Kiersten Passwaters, Ricky Passwaters, Emmett Gordy, and Kali Kane.
A viewing will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Monday, June 20 at the Laurel Fire Department, 205 W. 10th Street, Laurel. A funeral service will follow at the firehouse at 1 p.m. Pastor Johnny Rogers will officiate. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Laurel.
