Janice I. Harrington of Laurel passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at her home.

Born Feb. 25, 1935 in Norfolk, Va., she was the daughter of the late Ralph T. and Verna M. (Moorefield) Isenhour. Her husband, Lloyd, passed away in June of 1998.

Janice graduated from Wicomico Senior High School and had attended Mars Hill College in North Carolina and the State Teachers’ College of Salisbury. 

She had worked in the law office of Thomas J. Maloney as well as at the Salisbury Times. 

Janice had been a member of the American Iris Society and the Delaware Federation of Garden Clubs. 

Janice’s family fondly remembers her dedication to competitive iris growing and general gardening, including maintaining the Laurel Community Garden. She also loved traveling, sailing and dinner parties with her husband and their inseparable friends. 

Survivors include two children, Susan H. Levredge and Lloyd Wesley Harrington, Jr., both of Seaford; a brother, Charlie Isenhour and his wife, Cindy, of Sykesville, MD; a sister, Judith B. Ferraro of Cromwell, PA; her three grandchildren, William Dayne Mears and his wife, Stacie; Emily Carlin and her wife Steph; and Danielle Levredge and her partner Ryan Evans; and three great-grandchildren, Eywa Levredge-Evans and Lucas and Monroe Carlin. 

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 29 at Holloway Funeral Home, P.A. in Salisbury.
