James Scott Coulbourn passed away peacefully in his home on Aug. 9, 2023.

Scott was born on Aug. 30, 1950 in Milford to the late Harold and Peggy Coulbourn. Scott graduated from Seaford High School in 1968 and that is when he would join the National Guard for six years. Sports have always been a part of his life. He started playing baseball at a young age, and this is where he would make many lifelong friends. Scott was a part of Nanticoke Little League and played slow pitch softball for many years. He loved the Baltimore Orioles, his many pets and his friends and family-especially his grandchildren. Scott had such a kind heart and a wonderful personality! Scott is survived by his daughter Jennifer Coulbourn (Jason); brother, Brent Coulbourn (the late Paula Ann Baker Coulbourn); sister, Amy Pearson (George); sister, Pamela Lewis; his nieces and nephews, Betsey Stang (Parker); Spencer B. Coulbourn, Jr..; Abbey Pearson; Ged Pearson and his beloved grandchildren Lauren Myers; Wyatt Myers; Madison Myers; and Reagan Myers. He was preceded in death by his father Harold Coulbourn and his mother Peggy Coulbourn.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, Aug. 15 at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Seaford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Seaford Parks and Recreation.
