James R. “Bob” Russum of Seaford passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on Sept. 28, 1950 to the late Wesley and Lillian Russum. He loved redneck trucks, country music and really enjoyed line dancing; wood working was also one of Bob’ s greatest pastimes. Spending time with his family was one of the most special times for him. Bob worked for Beaver Tree Service in Salisbury for approximately 33 years. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Tommy, a grandson David, and a daughter Skeeter. He is survived by his loving companion of 29 years, Patsy Jarvis; a special sister-in-law Gladys Russum; daughters Julie Kent (Charles), Patty Palmer (Keith), Tammy Covington (Tony); son Tommy (Pam); eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews along with many very special loving friends. 

A viewing was on Sunday, Oct. 2 at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel followed by a funeral service. Pastor Joe LeCates officiated. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses to Patsy Jarvis, 28129 Line Road, Seaford, Delaware 19973.
