Chaffinch is survived by his sister Gladys Graham and husband Ken; two brothers Howard Chaffinch and Pete Chaffinch; longtime companion Patricia Cooney; daughter of the heart Julie Ignotis and husband Joseph; two grandsons Weston Cooney and Waylon Ignotis, lifetime best friend Donnie Trice and wife Lianne. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters of the Blades Fire Department and other community fire departments which he served and worked with throughout his lifetime. He was loved and treasured by many and will be missed by those whose lives he touched.
Cranston Funeral Home of Seaford has handled most arrangements during this difficult time. However, because Jack is going home to meet our Lord in the time honored First Responder tradition, viewing was not at the funeral home.
