You may know of the Governor Ross Mansion, but did you know that he was a pioneer in sustainable farming practices? On Monday, April 8, historian Claudia Leister will paint a verbal picture of the farm that surrounded the home of the former governor. Visitors will learn about how he was able to adopt the latest scientific practices and technology to improve his yields, and his bottom line.

The program begins at 7 p.m. on April 8 in the Fellowship Hall of ACTS Manor House, 1001 Middleford Road, Seaford. Admission and parking are free.

The Manor House Lecture Series is sponsored by the Seaford Historical Society as part of its mission to Preserve, Protect, and Present Seaford Area History. For more information, visit SeafordHistoricalSociety.com.
