Gilberto P. Vargas was born on Oct. 14, 1948 and died on Jan. 3, 2023 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Maria D. Vargas; three children, Mercedes E. Vargas, Gilberto Vargas, Jr., and Omar Vargas; his five grandchildren, and many siblings, nephews and nieces. He had a huge loving family and will be missed dearly.
His memorial will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14 from noon to 2 p.m. at Hope Bible Church, 210 N. Phillips St. in Seaford.
