Florence H. Bailey of Seaford passed away on Nov. 16, 2022 at Lofland Park surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New Rochelle, New York to the late Walter and Sally Jackson. Florence served in the Women Marines during the Korean War, stationed at Camp Pendleton, California. She worked for 26 years in the Laurel Middle School Cafeteria, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and especially looked forward to the delicious family dinners.  

Florence is survived by her sons, Steven Bailey of Seaford, and Michael Bailey and his wife Cheryl of Seaford; daughter, Stephanie Bailey-Pugh of Salisbury; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Raymond Bailey and her sister, Carole Gollenburg. 

A visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26 from 1-2 p.m. at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West Street, Laurel, Delaware 19956. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Pastor Joe LeCates will officiate. Interment will be private. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.hsdfuneralhome.com.
