Doris E. Dukes of Chambersburg, PA passed away May 27, 2022, in the residence of her daughter, Marian Davis, with whom she resided. Born June 23, 1922, in Laurel, she was the last surviving of seven children born to the late Lorenzo and Stella (Whaley) White. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John T. Dukes, who died in 1998. 

Mrs. Dukes grew up on the family farm in Laurel and since 1950 resided in Concord until moving to reside with her daughter four years ago. While living in Concord, she worked 20 years at the former Arrow Shirt Co. in Seaford. She was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church, the Sons and Daughters of Concord and the Laurel Grange. 

Surviving are two daughters, Marian F. Davis of Chambersburg and Beverly Mullins of Westampton, NJ; nine grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and siblings, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara E. Hocker.
