Danny W. LaCurts of Laurel and Georgetown passed away on Oct. 9, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Danny was born on Nov. 9, 1961, the son of the late Doris L. Barron (Travis) (LaCurts) and Marion W. LaCurts. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Harding. Danny graduated from Laurel High School in 1979, where he lettered in basketball, football, tennis, baseball and in track and field. Following the service, Danny joined the National Guard, where he served until 1984. After his service to our country he was a cook for Hardee’s and drove for Wonder Bread.
Danny always enjoyed bowling, painting, drawing, fishing and cooking.
He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Stehl; grandson Jeffrey B.G. Shaheen; sister, Jane Wilson; two brothers, Paul and Walter LaCurts, and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will take place Thursday, Oct. 20 from 1 to 2 p.m. at 3C USA Church in Delmar, Del.
