The Major Nathaniel Mitchell Chapter NSDAR will be holding a Constitution Day Ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 17. They will meet at 3:50 p.m. on the Circle in Georgetown and will participate in the Ringing of the Bells Across America at 4 p.m. in honor of our United States Constitution.
Constitution Week was initiated by the Daughters of the American Revolution. The DAR is a patriotic organization that encourages education and historic preservation in our communities. Constitution Week is celebrated every year, Sept. 17 – 23. Constitution Day is always Sept. 17.
Everyone is welcome to join them with this celebration. In case of rain they will meet in the Georgetown town hall.
