We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Mommom, Catherine “Cathy” Warrington, who left us on March 12, 2023.

Born on Aug. 20, 1940, Cathy grew up in Seaford and graduated from Seaford High School in 1958. She was married to her loving husband, Everett Warrington of Bridgeville on July 30, 1960, and they had two children, Linda and Keith. Together they lived an abundantly filled life and thoroughly enjoyed their retirement years. When they weren’t at a ball field cheering on their granddaughters, Cathy and Everett would be traveling the country in their motorhome, and even spent many winters in Florida where they built lasting friendships. They were married for 54 years before Everett’s passing in 2014.

Faith, family, and friendship were the utmost priorities in Cathy’s life. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and Mommom to her granddaughters and great-grandchildren. To say Cathy cherished time with her family is an understatement, as she was an ever-present source of love and support especially to her granddaughters and their families, but also to extended family and friends as well. Being a devoted Christian, Cathy was an active member of her church and a true testament to God’s character. Over the years, Cathy enjoyed many hobbies including card making, playing dominoes, baking delicious treats, and going on shopping trips with her close friends.

Cathy will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, neighbors, church community, and countless dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Warrington, daughters Linda and Janice Warrington, and son Keith Warrington. She is survived by her three granddaughters and their husbands, Rebecca and Kevin Drye, Renee and Grant Parker, and Rhonda and Mark Calvanesa; her six great grandchildren, Abigail and Adalyn Parker, and Kendall, Isla, Diesel and Dakota Calvanesa, and her sister Martha and husband Bill Downing.

Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, March 22 at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium in Bridgeville.
