Carolyn Phillips Parsons of Delmar passed away on March 13, 2023 at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford. Born on Jan. 20, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John Melson Phillips and Mildred Elliott Phillips. 

Carolyn was a member of King’s United Methodist Church, Delmar Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for 42 years, and the Martha Rebekah Lodge for over 60 years. She enjoyed crocheting, needle pointing, and solving word puzzles. 

Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Ruth Mano and her husband Ted of Florida, and Mary Louise Parsons of Seaford; son, William “Bill” Parsons, Jr. of Delmar; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive her. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Parsons, Sr., and her brother, John Phillips. 

A viewing was held on March 23 at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, Laurel. A funeral service was held on March 24, with a viewing at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Reverend Dean Perdue officiated. Interment followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Laurel.
