Carol Joyce Evans (nee Perry) died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, Jan. 6, 2023. She was the daughter of Thomas and Bessie (nee Bressler) Perry born in Hollidaysburgh, Pa. on Jan. 28, 1941. She was the wife of William E. Evans who preceded her in death in January of 2012; both of her parents are also deceased.
Carol worked for many years for the University of Denver in Denver, Col, and then worked for Social Services & Hospice both in Colorado and Florida taking care of the elderly and later became self-employed in this area. She and her husband, Bill, enjoyed gardening – he had his vegetables, and she had her flowers. They enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states, coast to coast, as well as Canada, Ireland, Europe, the Caribbean and parts of Central and South America.
Carol leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and plenty of cousins located in the U.S., England and Australia. Special thanks and love to Dave and Judy Sohl, as well as Laura Callahan, who became her special angels and caretakers after her husband died.
Cremation will be observed and there will be a celebration of her life at a later date. Memorial gifts can be made in Carol’s name to any animal charity.
