Bonnie Marie Short of Laurel passed away on Nov. 1, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Dec. 25, 1951 in Wilmington to the late Stanley Foraker and Elizabeth Cain Foraker. 

Bonnie was a loving homemaker and organizer. She loved to crochet, needlepoint, plan family events, dinners, parties and her passion was seeing that her family was taken care of. You didn’t visit her home without being fed and feeling loved.

Bonnie is survived by her loving husband, William P. Short III; daughters, Wendy Jackson, Julie Short, and Billie Jo Parker and her husband Bryan; step-son, Brain Marine and his wife Nicole; sister Judy Witz; brothers, Ronnie Foraker, Robbie Foraker, and Eddie Foraker; grandchildren, Phillip Pusey, Sadie Pusey (Mike), Shane Parker (Shemar), Chelsie West (Clint), Cody Short (Tasha), Kirsten Marine, Brett Marine, and Kayla Marine; 12 great-grandchildren; furbabies, Java, Jazzie, and Gretchen, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive her. 

A visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11 from noon-1 p.m. at the Bethel Worship Center in Seaford. A Celebration of Life will follow at the church at 1 p.m. Pastor Joe LeCates will officiate. Interment will be held privately.
