Anne H. Stewart passed away peacefully at Peak Healthcare at Hartley Hall on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022. She was born on Oct. 6, 1923 in Linwood, Pa., the daughter of the late Walter and Estelle (Gamble) Harrington.

Mrs. Stewart attended Claymont High School and Goldey-Beacom College. After she met and married her husband, William, they started a family and she dedicated herself to creating a warm and loving home for her husband and children. Mrs. Stewart believed in giving back to her community and was a long-time member of the GFWC Acorn Club of Seaford. She was also an active volunteer in the local school systems as a mentor and tutor. Her devotion to her family, however, took precedence above all and she treasured the time spent with them and the many memories they made. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, William P. Stewart, Sr. and her sisters, Mabel H. Giles and Nellie H. Crowley. She is survived by her sons, William P. Stewart. Jr. (Susanne) of Oak Island, NC and David W. Stewart (Wanda) of Pocomoke City; daughter-in-law, Jean L. Stewart; her grandchildren, William P. Stewart III (Stephanie), Anne K. Stewart, Ashley S. Marsh (Josh), Leah S. Hitch (Ethan), Sasha A. and Shea E. Stewart; her great-grandchildren, Easton Marsh and Nolan Marsh, Alyssa and Ella Stewart, and her nephews and nieces, John and Mary Heubner and Pat Provan.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 3 p.m. at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, 609 East King Street in Seaford where friends may visit beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will take place on Friday, Oct. 14, at 1 p.m. at the West Nottingham Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 1195 Firetower Road, Colora, MD 21917.
