Mr. Allan Gary Collins of Gumboro passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 at his home with his family by his side.

Allan was born in Salisbury to the late Carmel L. Collins and Dorothy Campbell Collins, who survives him.

He was part of the family-owned Collins Bros. Farm where he was a poultry grower and grain farmer. Allan was a lifetime member of the Gumboro Fire Co. He enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and of course, farming. Allan was a devoted family man and a friend of the community. Allan was notorious for his story-telling and predicting the weather.

In addition to his mother Dorothy, he is survived by his devoted wife of 19 years, Brenda Perdue Collins of Delmar; one daughter, Wendy N. Mitchell (Steve) of Gumboro; one stepdaughter Kim Todd (James) of Salisbury; and a stepson Kevin Perdue (Pamela) of Havre de Grace, Md. He also has four siblings surviving, Joyce Morris of Laurel, Leroy Collins of Gumboro, Sherman Collins (Ruth) of Gumboro, and Richard Collins (Brenda) of Gumboro. He also leaves behind one granddaughter, Macey Mitchell, and five step grandchildren: Brooke Mitchell, Payge Hudson, Chase Hudson, William Perdue, and Russell Perdue. We can’t forget his faithful canine companion “Nick.”
