William K. Dukes of Seaford passed away peacefully at home on June 16, 2026. He was born on Dec. 24, 1936, to Kenneth and Alma Dukes in Seaford.

After graduating from Seaford High School, Bill worked for many years managing E.S. Adkins Lumber Yard in Seaford as well as working on the family farm. He married Jacqueline White in 1958, and together they shared 68 wonderful years. Bill enjoyed spending time with family and working with his hands and was known for his infectious sense of humor.

Bill is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jackie Dukes; daughter, Sharon Dukes; grandchildren, Laura Risher and husband Micah, Karen Pettyjohn, Ryan Vess and wife Shelby, Tyler Vess; four great-grandchildren, and brother, Richard Dukes and wife Mary, along with many other family and friends that will miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Ann Dukes.

Funeral services took place on Tuesday, June 23 at Cranston Funeral Home in Seaford. Burial took place in Cokesbury Cemetery on Cokesbury Road, Rhodesdale, Md.
