Edna G. Donovan passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, after a long journey with dementia and Alzheimer’s. She was preceded in death by her husband, Medford E. Donovan; her children, Dale Harding, Tina Donovan, and Tammy Donovan; her brother, Edward Harding; and her sisters, Louise Harding Murphy and Ann Harding Clark.

She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Donovan Lamping (Don) and Bobbie Jo Donovan; her brothers, Norman Harding and Richard Harding; her sister, Joyce Harding Bedard; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandson, Braxton Meredith; along with many loving nieces and nephews, including her niece, Michelle, who helped ensure her brother, Richard, was able to see his sister Edna, and her nephew Curtis, who faithfully remained by her side during the final three weeks of her life. Edna lovingly raised her granddaughter, Jody Meredith, as her own daughter, and for the past four years, Jody had the honor of caring for her.

A viewing will be held on May 6 from 1–2 p.m., followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. at Cranston’s Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St, Seaford, Delaware. Burial will be in Eldorado Cemetery. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
