Nola Florence Martin passed away peacefully at her home in Seaford on Feb. 1, 2026.
Mrs. Martin was born Dec. 6, 1941 in Dighton, Massachusetts, to Fred and Leona Bourgoin.
Mrs. Martin was predeceased by her husband, Paul Martin, who passed away on March 20, 2024.
She worked for what is now known as Verizon Communications for over twenty years. She began her career with New England Bell and stayed with the Bell Company throughout all the changes over the years, eventually retiring from Verizon.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her son, Brian Martin and wife, Amy Martin of Rhodesdale, Md.; daughters, Kristen and Regina Martin of Readville, Maine; her older sister, Marie of Jasper, Georgia, and younger brother, Raymond of Greenville, South Carolina.
Mrs. Martin had five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market.
Interment will be at the Delaware Veteran’s Cemetery at a date to be determined.
