Janet Virginia Musser of Laurel went home to be with Jesus on Nov. 7, 2025 at 2:45 a.m. at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Md. in the arms of her beloved granddaughter. She was born on Jan. 17, 1943 in Chester, Pa. to the late Elmer Turner and Helen Taylor Turner.
She attended Laurel High School. Janet was a devoted homemaker to her husband of 63 years, Thomas (Eddie) Musser and her two boys, Kevin and Duane Musser. She was a long time member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Laurel, where she gave her heart to the Lord and got saved at a young age.
Janet was known for the love she showed to others through communication. Whether it be a text, messages, emails or cards, she stayed in constant contact with everyone she possibly could. Janet was a huge lover of Christmas and was well known for her Christmas dinners that were held every year on Dec. 23 at 6 p.m.
She is proceeded in death by her father, Elmer Turner and her mother, Helen Turner. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Musser; her children, Kevin Musser (Debbie), and Duane Musser; her grandchildren, Brooks Musser and Alexis Musser. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Austin Darling and Riley Musser.
Janet’s wishes for a private family graveside service will be honored.
