Peggy Ann Fisher of Bridgeville died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Takoma Park, Md. on Jan. 24, 1940, to her parents Charles and Hazel Johannes.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred T. Fisher, who went to be with the Lord in 1992. She is survived by a host of family members; children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and an extended family from the Fisher family side; Sherry Gummer, JB Fisher, Lisa Fisher, Chris Gummer, Craig Gummer, Curt Gummer, Tara Fisher and Tom Fisher. Of those that have survived her and were close in her later years are her daughter, Amanda (Mandy) Roth and her husband George Roth along with her grandsons Tyler Davis and Bragg Davis (spouse Cassandra). Sherri Darling, Rick Darling (spouse Mary) and Michael Darling are her surviving children from South Carolina along with her grandchildren Ricky, JT, Lucas, and Rachel. Three step grandchildren also survive her and they are Gabe Roth (spouse Racheal and children Ben and Eli), Josh Roth (spouse Avi) and Nathan Roth (girlfriend Jen). She is also survived by her loving cat, Baby, that gave her much company.

The definition of legacy is the long-lasting impact of particular events, actions, etc. that took place in the past or of a person’s life. Peggy’s legacy is a humble but mighty one that the world around her may not recognize but is one that is mighty and eternal. Hers is not one of gold, money, possessions, or even worldly status. Hers is a much more important legacy – a spiritual legacy. She was a mighty woman of God, a prayer warrior for many. She served the Lord through work with Mt. Olivet Church in Seaford and Love INC of Seaford.

Even in these last two and a half years that she was in poor health, she shared the gospel truth of the saving grace of Jesus Christ with every person that she met in medical facilities and that came to her home to help care for her. She would be known to break out in prayer for them and their situations on the spot. All were blessed by her and her faith.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Pastor Robert Morris Ministries, (pastorrobert.com) or your favorite charity.

Graveside Services will take place on Friday, Dec. 22 at 1 p.m. at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford.
