Glenda K. Pusey, beloved wife, mother, and sister, of Laurel passed away on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023. She was born on Sept. 23, 1961 in Milford to her loving parents, the late Glenn Maull Watson, Sr. and Katie T. Watson.
Glenda graduated from Holy Cross High School. After graduation she earned her degree as a paramedic and later her bachelor’s degree in human resources from Wilmington University. In her early days she worked in the office with Dr. Charles Wagner in Milton. There she became his first MRI Tech, a job she truly loved. She then moved on to become a paramedic for Sussex County, from where she retired as a supervisor in 2016 after 25 years of service. Her staff and coworkers at Sussex County became her second family and there she formed many life-long friendships that she cherished.
Glenda and her husband, Mike Pusey, were married on Oct. 30, 1993, and were looking forward to celebrating 30 years of marriage in a few weeks. They enjoyed spending time riding motorcycles, antiquing, and collecting old cookbooks. She was an excellent cook as well and enjoyed trying some of the old recipes found in those books. Glenda will always be remembered for her love for the outdoors and nature. She was an avid hunter and alongside her husband, Mike, enjoyed hunting trips to many parts of the country. Some of her best hunting memories were trips to New Zealand and Maine. Some of her favorite memories were trips to the northeast when the colors began to change. She also loved their surf fishing expeditions to Assateague. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Through her Love of Jesus Christ she hoped she touched many lives with the Love of Christ in their life, completing the great commission Jesus gave us “to spread the Love of Christ throughout this world.”
A memorial service was held in the chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriot’s Way, Milford, DE 19963.
