Pearl Annabel Hignutt of Seaford passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at her home. She was born on March 31, 1929, in Laurel, daughter of the late Charles W. and Mary Jane Betts.

Mrs. Hignutt was a Christian woman of strong faith and a dedicated member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Laurel.  The matriarch of her family, her life’s work was raising her children and instilling in them the morals and values that have been passed down to the next generations. Mrs. Hignutt’s devotion to family is evident in the strong bond that remains among them today. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and the last of her immediate Betts family. Loved by many, she will be genuinely missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
