Dennis “Rat” P. DeFelice of Laurel passed away on April 30, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Milford, he was the son of the late Rocco DeFelice and Annabelle Carey DeFelice. Dennis worked for the E.I. DuPont Company as a Power Plant Engineer and retired with over 30 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the American Legion Post #19 in Laurel, and enjoyed shuffleboard, golf, bowling, darts, pool, baseball, and especially watching and supporting his favorite baseball team, the Baltimore Orioles. Although he wasn’t a man of many words, Dennis was a great provider and loved his family and always made sure they were well taken care of. 

Dennis is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 57 years, E. “June” Springer DeFelice; daughters, Lisa Toadvine and her husband Mike, Angela DeFelice and her fiancé John Smith, Regina Ahtes and her fiancé Nils Mulford and Deana Revels and her husband Jay; brothers, Wayne DeFelice and his companion Barbara, Chip DeFelice and his companion Rita, and Steve DeFelice and his wife Julie; grandchildren, Ashlyn Hare, Zachary Toadvine (Lauren), Whitney White (Adam), Ashley Pugh and Evan Ahtes; great-grandchildren, McKinley Hare, Kasyn Ruark, Mallory Toadvine, Gannon Pugh, Gracie Pugh, and Jayleigh Pugh. Several nieces and nephews also survive him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson-in-law, Jamin D. Pugh. 

A viewing was held on Wednesday, May 10 at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel followed by the funeral service with Pastor Jay Revels officiating. Burial was private.
